What you write is very important on Pinterest


I've just started exploring Pinterest, and I would imagine that images are the most important element on the "pinboards" that I view or create.  Now I know otherwise.

In an article on socialfresh.com, "5 Ways Pinterest Success Comes From Great Writing," Lisa Pluth explains that words actually play a crucial role in gaining followers and getting re-pinned. 

Keywords, descriptions, humor, and brief stories can make a huge difference in the effectiveness of your boards.  

As a writer, of course I like this.

Kids Very Aware About Online Privacy

 This article caught my eye because it's about a topic we all care about: our kids and online privacy.  According to recent studies, teens are aware of risks and are savvy about privacy settings--more so than we might realize.  This is great news!

A 5-year-old girl identifies logos. So cute!!



I found this link during my morning review of interesting sites. Cincinnati-based graphic designer Adam Ladd asked his 5-year-old daughter to identify some famous logos, and he got some surprising answers. Enjoy!!
